Mr. Janko Gogolja is the founding principal of GYAS. During his tenure he successfully executed projects in real estate, construction, oil & gas, entertainment, financial services, wholesale, IT and airline industries in the U.S. and Central and Eastern Europe. Janko’s career includes investment banker roles at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin’s Basic Industrials Group and Credit Products Group of Credit Suisse First Boston. Janko was also regional CFO of M SAN Grupa d.d. and member of the Supervisory Board of KING ICT d.o.o., KimTec BiH d.o.o., and attorney-in-fact Supervisory Board Member of Quaestus Private Equity d.o.o.

During his investment banking career, Janko worked on a variety of investment banking transactions including mergers & acquisitions, leveraged transactions, bank financings, public & private financings and financial restructurings in consumer products, automotive, transportation, airline, plastics & packaging, tobacco and real estate industries. As a CFO, Janko oversaw asset, operating and financial restructuring of a leading regional company through a series of domestic and cross border acquisitions and financings.

Janko earned a B.S. in management, summa cum laude, from St. Francis College in New York and an M.B.A. in finance from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at U.C.L.A. where he studied under Sanford Sigoloff. Janko is a Certified Cash Flow Consultant and a Certified Capital Specialist.

During his tenure at GYAS, Mr. Filip Ivanov participated in company reorganizations in construction and financial services industries, managed preparation of complex financial models and budgets in the factoring industry, and equity and debt financings in real estate industry.
Prior to GYAS, Filip was a Controller and Acting CFO at Spencer Trask Ventures, a Private Equity and Venture Capital Firm in New York City where he oversaw 200 million dollars of invested capital in over 40 active investments in life sciences, medical devices, bio-technology, e-marketing, social networking, and telecommunication industries. Filip also worked as independent consultant advising private equity funds, broker-dealers and banks in New York. Filip’s consulting career started at Arthur Andersen’s Business Process Risk Consulting practice where his projects included functions in business process optimization, risk analysis, business transition, merger integration, and reorganization of business units in leading banks including JP Morgan, Chase Manhattan, UBS, and Citigroup.

Filip has acted as personal consultant and coach to managers and enterpreneurs, improving the performance of the teams they manage and impacting their individual performance as leaders.

Filip earned his B.S. degree in Accounting, from St Francis College in New York and his M.B.A. degree from the Fordham Business School, also in New York, both degrees magna cum laude.
